On this particular day the harbor patrol unit takes action as a fast moving boat comes toward the ship. Navy Officials tout the harbor patrol unit in Bahrain as the largest and the busiest in the Navy. The unit has 17 boats and roughly 150 personnel to cover 14 nautical miles in Bahrain, which is home to the U.S. 5th Fleet. Haynes is not only the only culinary specialist onboard, but on such a small ship every sailor must strive to learn and do things outside their rating.
